| Hello, and welcome to another Independent voices roundup. This week Keir Starmer began the work of "resetting" the UK's relationship with the European Union by travelling to Germany and France to meet with the countries' respective leaders.
Sean O'Grady wrote that the PM's big Brexit "reset" is nothing of the sort – but that it is a good start. Meanwhile our editorial said that Starmer's treaty with Germany is a reason to be optimistic.
John Rentoul argued that Starmer's "doomerism" earlier in the week when talking about the Tories' legacy could come back to bite him, while Andrew Grice laid out the truth of Labour's new Budget. | |
