This weekend is a busy one in Bellingham: For starters, the Cascadia International Women's Film Festival is at the Pickford Film Center through Sunday. But even if you didn't score a festival pass, tickets are available for the Honored Guest event with filmmaker Yvonne Russo on Saturday at Mount Baker Theatre.

Other notable A&E events include "Singing Out," a Bellingham Symphony Orchestra concert featuring dozens of volunteer singers. These community members stepped in last-minute after a Canadian choir dropped out due to border constraints.

Bellingham Repertory Dance's showcase, "If Not Now," is on at the FireHouse Arts and Events Center. Over at Idiom Theater, news junkies won't want to miss "Heroes of the Fourth Turning," a Pulitzer-finalist play aimed at "the kind of person who finds themselves doomscrolling at 2 a.m. or yelling at NPR in your car."

Aslan Depot is throwing a free '90s dance party on Saturday in support of Bellingham Arts Academy for Youth (BAAY). Tickets are also up for grabs for April Brews Day on Saturday, aka the biggest annual beer event/fundraiser in town.

And while most of the aforementioned events happen in downtown Bellingham, Fairhaven is also emerging from its winter hibernation with the Dirty Dan Mystery Weekend. Finally, the Community Boating Center will celebrate its opening with 50% off rentals and a "party atmosphere" all weekend long.
