This was an excellent (if thoroughly depressing) read. The only bright spot is knowing how poorly Donald Trump and 'Trumpism' polls across the UK. This was a bussed-in collection of supporters, unrepresentative of the wider UK populace. –SomeGuyInKent via Bluesky Interesting, I read your account of the meeting and the mention of the female attendee who feared Labour would not allow a General Election in 2029. My mother voiced exactly the same fear in the 1970s when my parents were Conservative Party members living in rural Warwickshire. I remember wondering at the time who was filling her head with such rubbish. They're still out there playing on people's fears. –SP A fascinating read on a curious time for a fantastical demographic. Maybe the real Reform is the journey we had along the way. –Brocking via Bluesky The challenge to the other English parties is how to appeal to those choosing Reform. And the answer isn't to go low. –Andrew Sharpe via Bluesky And these are the people Keir Starmer and Kemi Badenoch are both trying to get to vote for them. –Richard Michael Blaber via Mastodon It's pretty clear what kind of people you're voting for with Reform. Don't vote for them and pretend you didn't know. –Paul via Instagram |
