Corbyn beats Starmer in battle for Reform voters | As he bids to win back former Labour voters from Reform, Sir Keir Starmer has shifted Labour to the right on immigration and stepped back from his previous support for trans women. So it will not have been easy reading for the prime minister that he is even less popular than Jeremy Corbyn among those leaning towards the insurgent right-wing outfit. Among Reform-minded voters, Merlin Strategy found that Mr Corbyn beats his successor as Labour leader on a range of issues including being for working people, strength, trustworthiness and even intelligence. With Mr Corbyn launching a left-wing alternative to Labour, his popularity among backers of anti-establishment Reform presents a fresh headache for Sir Keir. | |
