The Jeffrey Epstein/Donald Trump story took a wild new turn on Thursday evening.
The publication of a scoop by the right-leaning Wall Street Journal threatens to turn a MAGA rebellion into a full civil war.
In a 2003 birthday album compiled by Epstein's girlfriend and collaborator Ghislaine Maxwell, the Journal reports that a certain New York real estate mogul signed his name with his trademark black marker.
Then, inside the outline of a naked woman, a nauseating imagined conversation between the two men.
"We have certain things in common, Jeffrey... A pal is a wonderful thing. Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret."
Yuck.
A furious denunciation and threat to sue the Journal followed from the president with the story's publication. Trump fully denied the authenticity of the signature or having written the above note.
"I'm gonna sue The Wall Street Journal just like I sued everyone else," said the president.
The story published just before 7:00 p.m. Washington, D.C. time.
Far from fading away, the Epstein story just exploded in front of Washington's eyes.
An avalanche could be coming.
