Save the Date: Apple’s Sept 9 ‘Awe-Dropping’ Event to Reveal iPhone 17, Watch Series 11 & OS 26

Apple launches its third Indian store, Apple Hebbal, at Bengaluru's Phoenix Mall of Asia on September 2 at 1 PM IST. The 8,000 sq ft outlet is staffed by 70 employees from 15 states and is carbon neutral, running on 100 percent renewable energy.

Inside, the store mirrors Apple's global mall design with a large video wall for Today at Apple sessions, signature wooden tables for product demos, and shelving for accessories. A unified Genius Bar and Pickup counter offers swift fulfillment, while peacock feather-patterned glass and a curated Apple Music Hebbal playlist celebrate local culture.

Apple's fall keynote is set for September 9 at 10 a.m. PT, where the company is expected to unveil a four-model iPhone 17 lineup—standard, Pro, Pro Max and a superslim Air variant—each with the new full-width camera bar and upgraded 24 MP selfie shooter. Alongside new hardware, Apple plans to refresh its watch family (Series 11, Ultra 3 and SE 3) and release its next-generation operating systems—iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS 26 (Tahoe), watchOS 26 and tvOS 26—featuring a new "Liquid Glass" design language and enhanced multitasking tools for iPad.

Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reiterated today that the long-rumored iPhone Fold, expected to debut next year at around $2,000, will adopt a side-button Touch ID sensor instead of embedding fingerprint recognition beneath the display or using Face ID. Kuo cites the foldable's 4.5 mm unfolded thickness—shallower than the TrueDepth module—and the prohibitive cost of duplicating Face ID hardware across both external (5.5″) and internal (7.8″) screens. He also considers an ultrasonic in-display solution "unlikely," and names Luxshare ICT as the probable Touch ID supplier.
