Urgent Alert: WhatsApp Patches Critical Zero-Click Flaw on iPhone & Mac

Apple is set to unveil its fourth Indian retail outlet, Apple Koregaon Park, in Pune on September 4, 2025, just days after launching its third store in Bengaluru. WhatsApp has rolled out an urgent security update for its iPhone and Mac apps following the discovery of a zero-click vulnerability that let attackers process content from arbitrary URLs on devices without any user interaction. The flaw affected WhatsApp for iOS, WhatsApp Business for iOS and WhatsApp for Mac.

Apple has already released system patches, while WhatsApp's update prevents further exploitation. Security experts warn that the combination of Apple device popularity among executives and WhatsApp's three-billion-user reach makes the platform a prime target. Users should update immediately to secure their communications.

iOS 26 arrives after Apple's September 9 event, bringing Liquid Glass design, alarm snooze customization, Call Screening and enhanced Apple Intelligence in Reminders. However, device eligibility cuts off at iPhone 12 and later, Watch Series 6+, select iPad models and MacBooks from 2019 or 2020 onward.
