Donald Trump has put his foot in it again after admitting he "doesn't think about Americans' financial situations" when considering next steps on Iran, amid inflation rising to 3.8 per cent.

 

“I think about one thing – we cannot let Iran have a nuclear weapon," he stated.

 

It comes after yet another string of lash-outs, which has become something of a recurring theme throughout his presidency.

 

It all kicked off during his visit to the Lincoln Memorial last week, where he snapped back at ABC’s Rachel Scott, branding her question "stupid". Then the White House joined in on the clapbacks, calling a social media user a "moron" after they claimed Trump had fallen asleep during an event.

 

"He was blinking, you absolute moron," the official White House Rapid Response X/Twitter account quipped.

 

And, as ever, never one to mince his words, Trump also left people scratching their heads after praising acting attorney general Todd Blanche for keeping him "out of jail for years".

Former star of reality TV show The Hills, Spencer Pratt, is running to become the mayor of Los Angeles.

 

Despite having no prior political experience, Pratt, has decided to throw his hat in the ring and believes he can “shake up city hall”.

 

Pratt first made a name for himself as the reality TV villain and love interest of Heidi Montag (who he has been married to for 17 years) in the hit MTV series The Hills, which ran from 2006 to 2010.

 

According to CBS News, Pratt is now polling second in the race to become mayor and says losing his home in the Palisades Fire was the catalyst towards him running.

 

“I had to step up so that my sons one day can ... come back here and live in the L.A. that I lived in — beautiful, safe,” he said in an interview with the broadcaster. “I’m standing in what happened because of failed politicians.”

 

In an appearance on The All-In Podcast, Pratt revealed more about his plans should he be elected.

 

Pratt has stated one of his goals is to clean up the streets of Los Angeles, which he says will happen when “you start putting handcuffs on people”.

A theory as to why we haven't heard from aliens, which renowned theoretical physicist and cosmologist Stephen Hawking agreed with, has resurfaced online.

 

Planet Earth is about the size of a speck of dust when compared to the whole universe and the likelihood of there being other intelligent life out there is pretty high, even though it's a scary thought, right?

 

Scientists and experts have a number of theories as to why that is but a particular one that Stephen Hawking agreed with has come up again online, getting a lot of people talking.

 

Actor and author Kalpana Pot posted a TikTok video on her account summing up the theory.

 

In the video, she says: "Take a look at our Milky Way galaxy. Some estimates say it has 400 billion stars and possibly trillions of planets.

 

"Even if a tiny fraction of those planets have intelligent life, that's still a big number - small amounts in space terms is still a lot.

 

"We've been scanning the skies for signals for over 60 years but it's been radio silent, so to speak.

 

"We've been sending out our own signals intentionally and unintentionally for over a century yet no responses and that's where the paradox comes in.

 

"So again, in such a vast universe and galaxy, where the f**k is everyone?"

 

Kalpana goes on to share what she describes as the 'darkest' theory out there...

 

Never-before-seen Marilyn Monroe artefacts and memorabilia have been put up for auction to mark 100 years since the birth of the late Hollywood icon.

 

Items currently on sale range from the hundreds to tens of thousands of dollars, with the highest bid so far sitting at $20,000 (£14,700) for a Jeanne Lanvin evening gown. The auction is set to wrap up on 4 June.

 

But attention has quickly turned to four unusual items that have been branded "disturbing".

 

Among the 190 items listed for sale are medical X-rays: a 1954 chest X-ray currently priced at $2,250 (£1,650), and a pelvic X-ray from the same year listed at $1,250 (£920).

 

Two further X-rays from 1952 reportedly show the late star’s large intestines and gallbladder.

 

The internet has since weighed in, with some calling for a crowdfunding effort to have the items removed and destroyed.
