Someone running a successful large organisation is quite rightly paid more than someone "on the shop floor", but the differential should be "reasonable". | I am not sure about [DaveC67's] definition of working people, for example. how do you judge what is "doing something useful, and "adds value to society"? You say a successful organisation should get more than a "shop floor" worker, but what value would you place on a doctor, a nurse, a teacher? Do you think that shop floor workers should be paid a decent and fair wage so that they can heat their homes, drive a car, go on holiday, buy nutritious food? The divisions of labour and their relative payment can be extremely questionable don't you think? |
