It's Election Day but here are some other things to know:

It's Election Day and it's basically the only thing anyone is thinking about. (The cat at a polling station in Pennsylvania may relieve some of your brain melt.) Americans across the country are casting their votes today but we may not know the results tonight.

You can follow all of Reuters election coverage here. However, since we're a legal newsletter, here's what you need to know in the world of election litigation over the past 24 hours:

In other election news, races for seats on state supreme courts that once drew little attention have become prominent abortion battlegrounds since the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. Advocates on both sides of the abortion issue are targeting judicial races in Michigan and Ohio, two of the 33 states nationwide in which supreme court seats are on the ballot today. Voters will also decide on a guarantee to abortion rights in 10 states today.

And finally, close races will decide the control of U.S. Congress and here are 10 U.S. Senate races to watch.

A three-judge panel from the 2nd Circuit did something last week that is "almost unheard of," in the words of plaintiffs lawyer Sam Rudman of Robbins Geller: The panel changed its mind, agreeing to revive a fraud claim by AmTrust investors against audit firm BDO after originally siding with BDO in a ruling last summer. Alison Frankel has details on how AmTrust shareholders – with a big assist from the SEC – persuaded the 2nd Circuit that even boilerplate auditors' certifications matter to investors.
