The Drug Enforcement Administration is being sued by a researcher who wants the agency to halt its upcoming marijuana rescheduling hearing until several alleged procedural violations can be addressed.
A Bernalillo County, New Mexico commissioner announced plans to introduce a local measure to treat off-duty marijuana use by government employees more like alcohol use by removing the risk that a positive drug test for THC alone would lead to discipline or termination.

A new study shows how marijuana is a substitute for other drugs, finding that "significant proportions reported cannabis use led to 'less' alcohol (60%), synthetic cannabinoid (60%), morphine (44%) and methamphetamine (40%) use."
