It's happening Saturday and Sunday this weekend at Christianson's Nursery, with a special Sip and Shop event from 5–8 p.m. tonight.
Other markets this weekend include Red Barn Holiday Market in Lynden, Blaine Middle School's Community Holiday Market and the Bellingham Senior Activity Center's unfailingly delightful Holiday Craft Fair. Bellingham's popular Holiday Wine Walk is happening this very evening, and tickets are still available at the time of writing.
On a different note (pun intended), the Bellingham Chamber Music Society's final Hotel Leo showcase of 2024 is this Sunday. The program, entitled "Spirited," includes works from Jesse Montgomery, Florence Price, Andre Jolivet and Pyotr Illyich Tchaikovsky.
Those who missed the new Warren Miller film at Mount Baker Theatre last week can get their adventure fix at Mountainfilm On Tour this Saturday. The screening "shares the year's most inspiring short films with communities worldwide" and benefits Bellingham's Rotary Club.
In other fundraiser-related news, The Roller Bettys — aka Bellingham's most beloved (and only?) roller derby team — are raising money with karaoke at 1-Up Lounge this Sunday. Supporters with stage fright can pay to make a Bettys member sing their song of choice. No word yet as to whether the Betties will sing on skates — but if they manage to pull off such feats of multitasking, you should probably donate extra.
