Since starting my journalism career, I've moved around quite a bit: from Kentucky to Tennessee to Wisconsin back to Kentucky and now Washington.Take it from me — one of the best ways to learn about your community is through local news.

CDN is essential for me in navigating my new home. Not only providing a stellar workplace, CDN connects me to Whatcom and Skagit counties and to the people who live here.

Whether it's finding a new Pilates studio or learning about the relationship between Northwest Washington and our Canadian neighbors, CDN has paved the way.

Even today, as a salmon lover, I was thrilled to learn about the high forecast of pink salmon — up to 34 million! (Side note: I've also learned the types of salmon plus their names, thanks to CDN. I'm pretty proud.) What I did not know was how a high forecast might impact processing capacity and what that would mean for local fishermen. Thanks to Annie Todd's story, now I do.
