Consumers have until Sept. 30 to lock in federal EV tax credits—up to $7,500 for new vehicles and $4,000 for used models—and until Dec. 31 to claim 30% credits for rooftop solar, battery storage, heat pumps and home efficiency upgrades.
Experts warn against rash buying: potential buyers should confirm charging-system costs, check local inventory and secure installation guarantees for solar by year-end. Only the 30% EV home-charger credit (up to $1,000) survives through June 2026, leaving little time for major energy investments.
