Trump's 100% movie tariff

President Donald Trump has renewed the idea of imposing tariffs on movies made outside the United States. 

Any such move would be complicated to enforce, but should the protectionist policy be successful it would likely have devastating consequences for the global film industry which relies on heavily complicated funding models that include cross border co-productions.

It was not immediately clear what legal authority Trump would use to impose a 100% tariff on foreign-made films.
