Apple removes ICE tracking apps

Apple said it had removed ICEBlock, the most popular ICE-tracking app, and other similar apps from its App Store after it was contacted by the Trump administration, in a rare instance of apps being taken down due to a US federal government demand.

The app alerts users to Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in their area. The US Justice Department says it could increase the risk of assault on agents.
