Reeves' Budget dilemma: tax rises or reforms? Have your say

If we are going to spend more, as we must, then we must pay more tax, which can ONLY be paid out of income. At national level ALL taxes are paid from income*, no matter what they are called (e.g. VAT is paid on income we spend).

So it is just a matter of how to spread the burden of spending and how taxes affect incentives.
