U.S. District Judge Richard Leon in D.C. will weigh a request for a temporary restraining order by a preservation group that is suing President Trump and several federal agencies to block construction of a $300 million ballroom at the site of the White House's demolished East Wing. The lawsuit says Trump never gathered public input and ignored statutes requiring consultation with the National Capital Planning Commission and the Commission of Fine Arts before starting work on the massive ballroom.
