Everyone has a show they started watching too young in life. For me, it was The Sopranos. Was 12 years old too infantile to be following the life and times of "Mr Mob Boss" Tony Soprano? Maybe a little, but I thank my parents every day for the lax rules that set my bar for television so high, so early on.
All this to say Michael Imperioli and Steve Schirripa was a bucket list interview for me – we spoke about the show's legacy, the late, great James Gandolfini (who, odd as it sounds, was my phone background from the ages of 14 to 16), and what the mob guys would've made of Trump. So watch out for that this Sunday.
Elsewhere in the world of culture, today is the day: "Wuthering Heights" hits the big screen after months of heated anticipation and divisive reviews. Our film critic was not a fan to say the least, giving it a damning one star. I myself was more partial to Fennell's vision, but then again I've never read the book, which seems to be the sticking point for naysayers.
More great stuff below, including write-ups of the new Lord of the Flies adaptation and Bad Bunny's Superbowl halftime show, plus a moving tribute to James Van Der Beek who died this week aged 43 of cancer.
Catch you later,
