I am most concerned about the devaluing of human life – that the killing and maiming of poor people, with little or no control over their governments, is deemed a reasonable action by leaders and citizens in the USA and Israel. –Mark Adams

I have my own thoughts, and today's is this: Donald Trump always states the opposite of what he really wants. He wants a long war to keep his shares rolling in, and no one else matters. –Susie

What concerns me most about this war on Iran by the governments of Israel and the US – and for the benefit of Zionists in Israel, royalty in some Arab states, and the Trump family – is the trauma to Iranians and the damage to their country. This war is comprised of millions of crimes against humanity: the killing, the trauma, and the ruin of their society, economy, land, water and air. –Tim Lillard

My fear is that this war will help embed a polarised, right-wing culture of 'might is right', where the language of politics becomes talk of bombing foreigners, arrests, deportations, and the 'enemy within'. My hope – the backlash – seems to be on a long-term losing streak. –Anon

Re: What is the Danish immigration model, and does it work?

If the UK wants to adopt the Danish immigration model, it will have to abandon its former colonies. It cannot have both. There are billions of people in former British colonies; Britain created these realities without the consent of those citizens. –Mavine

Tony Blair needs to step away from public life. His alignment with Donald Trump's so-called peace group is deeply concerning. He should move to the US to be with his ally and be banned from setting foot on British soil ever again! –Sharon Wilding

You are so right… but what can we do? Hide our sons and daughters under the bed when MPs come knocking to take them off to fight a war somewhere? That's what my cousin did during the Vietnam War. Or we can write to the prime minister and tell him not to play with strumpets. –June Ryan
