The prime minister is far away from his much beloved Manchester today, as he takes on the city that never sleeps - and Donald Trump.
Andy Burnham began his day in New York with a morning stroll with his Spanish counterpart Pedro Sanchez in Central Park, where an entrepreneur presented him with a rather unusual gift of a pair of socks emblazoned with a cartoon of his face.
The outing may have helped clear his head before the most anticipated event in his diary today, his first face-to-face meeting with the US president.
The two leaders spoke to reporters following their meeting, with the prime minister telling reporters he and the president had “established a good connection in our early discussions and we’ve taken that further today".
Still to come is Mr Burnham's meeting with European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen, hours after the prime minister refused to rule out putting pledge to rejoin the EU in Labour’s next manifesto.
Finally, he will round off his busy day in the Big Apple with an address to the UN General Assembly at around 12:30am UK time.

Three ways Andy Burnham can win his meeting with Donald Trump – and three traps for him to avoid
I previewed the prime minister’s first meeting with the American president, pointing out that Donald Trump is usually polite to visitors face-to-face.
Andy Burnham has a delicate balance to strike, aware of the dangers back home, with a by-election against the Greens pending, of getting too close to a president opposed to climate action (at last year’s UN Trump called climate change a “con job”) and at war in the Middle East.
