A new survey from President Donald Trump's campaign pollster shows strong majority support for marijuana legalization and that Republicans are "even more supportive" of letting states legalize cannabis without federal interference than voters overall are.
  • "There is no significant political or demographic group that doesn't believe cannabis should be legal for consenting adults."
Bipartisan members of Congress led by Rep. Dave Joyce (R-OH) filed a bill to end federal marijuana prohibition in legal states while also legalizing interstate cannabis commerce.
Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders (R) vetoed a bill to legalize medical cannabis sales via drive-thrus at dispensaries and to ease certain rules around marijuana delivery services for patients and caregivers.
Delaware lawmakers sent Gov. Matt Meyer (D) a bill to address a marijuana industry fingerprint background check dispute with the Federal Bureau of Investigation that has threatened to delay the launch of the state's recreational cannabis market.
The New Hampshire Senate rejected House-passed bills to legalize marijuana, allow medical cannabis patients to grow plants at home and permit dispensaries to buy hemp-derived cannabinoids on the commercial market.
The Nevada Senate Legislative Operations and Elections Committee approved a resolution calling on the federal government to "reschedule psilocybin, psilocin, DMT, ibogaine, mescaline and MDMA to a schedule that better reflects the therapeutic value, low potential for abuse and safety."
The New York Office of Cannabis Management is rolling out a "higher education" campaign aimed at providing people with information on how to "make informed, responsible decisions" about marijuana ahead of 4/20 this weekend.
The Florida House Budget Committee approved a bill to regulate hemp-derived products and apply a 15 percent tax on them.
