The annual 'State of the Industry' at MJBizCon 2025 was presented by MJBizDaily Executive Editor, Chris Roberts and MJBiz SVP and Brand Leader, Emilie Lewis, alongside Rachelle Gordon of GreenState and Dustin Hoxworth of Fat Nugs Magazine.

While discussing how operators are navigating economic pressures, what rescheduled cannabis means for the industry, new opportunities amid state legalization, and the looming hemp THC ban, a central theme emerged: a unified cannabis industry is stronger than a divided market.

"If we want the industry to succeed, we must set aside our differences for a common goal: sensible federal policy that protects consumers and ensures they have access to products they can trust," says Gordon.
