From the BRITs to Netflix, Harry Styles is putting in work | |
| It's been a huge week in music, and the hype from the iconic BRIT Awards moments is far from over. From Rosalía's unforgettable performance to Jack Whitehall's risky jokes, the ceremony certainly gave everyone something to talk about. Harry Styles also took to the stage. While fans are still revelling in the brilliance of that performance, few could have predicted what would follow next. As diehard fans will know, the star is set to embark on a summer tour. Before that, however, he has surprised fans with a special Manchester show this weekend (6 March), timed to coincide with the release of his new album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally. Unsurprisingly, tickets sold out almost instantly, with Ticketmaster warning that resold tickets would be turned down. But there's good news for those who missed out. It has now been announced that the One Night Only gig will be streamed on Netflix, meaning fans can enjoy the show from the comfort of their own homes. Elsewhere in the music world, Selena Gomez has confirmed a long-standing Taylor Swift song theory, and naturally, sparked another in the process. And, as ever, the industry hasn't been without controversy. Kesha has publicly hit back at the White House for using her music in a "disgusting and inhumane" post. | Welcome to the Indy100 newsletter | |

| Jim Carrey's appearance at the 2026 Cesar Film Awards in Paris last month sparked conspiracy theories, and now a makeup artist seems to have claimed it was faked. However, Carrey's representatives have confirmed to Indy100 that the actor did indeed attend the awards. The film awards also denied the claims online. Despite a lack of any proof, some social media users had speculated that Carrey had been impersonated at the awards. Alexis Stone later posted on Instagram and appeared to claim to have transformed into the Hollywood actor using advanced prosthetics, and it's safe to say people were left confused. Stone captioned the post: "Alexis Stone as Jim Carrey in Paris." Stone has been known to recreate celebrities' appearances using makeup and prosthetics in the past. The makeup artist shared a picture of the actor at the awards ceremony, as well as a mask, teeth and a wig. Stone also shared an Instagram story showing a digital scan of Carrey's face. However, Gregory Caulier, the general delegate of the Cesar Awards, released a statement to Variety denying the claims circulating online. Read more here | |
| Punch the Monkey continues to capture the hearts of everyone, especially since there's been another development. For those who aren't caught up on the saga, the baby monkey at Ichikawa City Zoological and Botanical Gardens in Japan went viral after people learned that he was abandoned by his mother seven months ago and has since been cared for by the zookeepers. The latest making the rounds online is the fact that he can now adorably walk on two legs while holding a stick in a new clip. "Little Punch is doing what most of his peers can't — he runs on two legs for a long time," one person wrote. A second person reacted, "Wtf, he's bipedal and using a tool." Elsewhere, the IKEA Djungelskog orangutan soft toy that Punch has been seen with has since become a popular purchase, with reports that it sold out and some being resold for hundreds of dollars on eBay. | |

| Gen Z typically spend nine hours a day on their phones. It sounds high, but not particularly scary, until you realise that's approximately 136 days a year spent online. For some, that's a frightening enough concept to ditch screen time altogether, and seek out new ways to recreate on the little things that supercharge our dopamine. Their current activity of choice? Trinket trading. Trinket Trading Boxes have been popping up in cities all over the world in recent weeks, quite often overflowing with weird and wonderful objects for people to add to, and take from. The contents of the small, metal boxes, which are often found fixed to lampposts or fences, can include anything from stickers, to collectible figures, to hair clips - think stuff you find lying around in a drawer, untouched for years. Some people are even making their own crafts to add to the boxes for others to enjoy. The unspoken rule? To take something from the trinket box, you should add an item of your own.
